In this next bout, Dan works hard to push Tuishou, and as he did in the competition finals, throws Tuishou over his shoulder. And once again, Tuishou manages to land perfectly, without losing his balance.

(In the 2004 World Cup, Tuishou had won the gold and Dan had won the silver against him for moving-step push hands - just as happened in this 2005 championship.)

Through his father, Tuishou Chen Chi-Cheng traces his Tai Chi lineage and Yang style to the legendary Professor Cheng Man-Ching. Tuishou teaches junior high school in Taiwan and coaches youngsters in their pursuit of push hands.

"Tuishou" is a nickname (Chinese for push hands, his specialty), and there are several Western spellings to his name - including Chen Zhicheng and Tun Ze Tun. His defeat of Josh Waitzkin at the 2002 World Cup figures prominently in Josh's widely-praised book "The Art of Learning: An Inner Journey to Optimal Performance".

In the book, Josh explains how his defeat at the 2002 World Cup by Tuishou led him to develop the training methods used so successfully by the champion push hands team of Grandmaster William C. C. Chen.
