The 2004 International Chinese Martial Arts Championship in Orlando was considered to be effectively the U.S. National
push hands championship.
In this first bout, Josh wins against Jan C. Childress (yellow shirt), a fellow member of the team from William C. C. Chen's Tai Chi Chuan School.
Jan went on to win Bronze medals in the 2004 and 2010 Chung Hwa Cup World Push Hands Championship.

Final super heavyweight fixed step, Stephen Watson (2004-07-03, Orlando)
In the last match of the Nationals, Josh goes up against the super heavyweight (200+ pound) leader,
Stephen Watson.
... Josh loses, which gives him the Silver medal, in one of the most friendly and entertaining matches of the competition.
The video ends with Grandmaster Chen surrounded by his winning team, Josh, Daniel Caulfield, Max and Tiffany Chen,
and Rick Barrett (who was a referee and judge for this event).

Final restricted-step push hands contest (2001-09-29, New Jersey)
In this early video, Josh has moved up a weight class to compete at this regional contest in Clifton, NJ.
He wins the Gold in the heavyweight, restricted step division, against a tough competitor and
despite a hand injury.
... Josh fractured a metacarpal bone in the middle of this bout, when his opponent rapidly applied pressure with his chest.
